Did you know that drying flowers is addictive?
We believe that many of us have dried flowers - hung them upside down or pressed them into a book and convinced ourselves that a dried flower can be beautiful too!
Flower drying makes it possible to make the beauty of flowers disappear almost forever. So you can enjoy your garden all year round. The lovely colours, the soft textures and the beautiful details that come from drying flowers - all this can be enjoyed during the flowerless winter months!
But did you know that the time of harvest or the stage of flowering, for example, plays a role in drying flowers?
Come and we'll teach you how to successfully dry flowers for a quality end result.
Let's learn together
-how to extend the flower season
-what is worth drying
-why to dry
-with what to dry
-focus on the technical side of drying flowers with sand
-techniques on how to use dried flowers afterwards
There is also a selection of home-grown cut flowers to take home to dry! Flowers and a coffee break are included in the price - on top of all this vast and inspiring wealth of knowledge!

Mia herself: I'm Mia, a gardener and florist, based in Turku, Finland. I have a small urban backyard garden where I grow cut flowers mainly for drying and I'm specialised in sand dried flowers. I also teach flower farming in vocational school and work as a freelance florist seasonally in flower shops and events.
My journey with locally grown flowers started over 20 years ago when I was studying to be a gardener. At that time I had the opportunity to work in a small flower farm nearby. I learned the skills of flower farming and since then I knew that the locally grown flowers would be my guiding star on my journey with flowers.
I started working with dried flowers three years ago, that's when I made my first experiments with drying flowers in sand and I was surprised how well shape and colours of the flowers were preserved during drying. They turned out absolutely amazing!
