We are (for now) three flower growers who believe that flower growing and floriculture in Estonia can also be more respectful of the environment and the seasons. Our common values brought us together and a strong sense of mission inspired us to start the Slow Flowers movement in Estonia, following the example of many other like-minded people abroad.

We are an association that wants to

  • disseminate knowledge on more sustainable cut flower growing and seasonal floriculture and contribute to the promotion of these activities on a continuous basis.
  • to give a face and put on the map the small cut flower growers of Estonia and bring them together with their local florist and consumer.
  • create a network where florists and growers can also get together from time to time to inspire each other, learn from each other or just share their joys and sorrows. We strongly believe that community is more important than competition!
  • to create training opportunities for our local growers and florists by bringing in international trainers who use modern techniques and have an innovative mindset. We believe in 100% plastic-free floristry and we see it as the future!
  • educate consumers on the importance of choosing local flowers wherever possible!

Anete Pelmas

Flower Delivery

The Flower Show was born out of a love for nature and flowers and a desire to create beauty and bring joy! I grow spring flowers (tulips, daffodils) as well as summer stars (flower peas, lion's bushes, bridal flowers, etc.) in my own flower garden, along with many aromatic herbs (mint, basil, etc.) that have a wonderful fragrance. Autumn is the season for decorative pumpkins and winter is the season for Christmas wreaths. I respect the rhythms of nature in everything I do!

Tuuli Hirvelä

Kokora Flower factory

I grow a small amount of cut flowers in the open and offer plastic-free floristry for both event decorations and enchanting bouquets. I sell cut flowers to flower lovers, florists, flower shops and all flower creatives who want to be more sustainable by supporting local flower growing. In winter, the focus is on dried flowers. A varied selection of cut flowers, chosen with care and love, ensures a distinctive end result for every event.

I was born in Estonia but grew up in Sweden, and I'm a teacher by education. I found my way back to Estonia and the opportunity to garden more consciously arose. I have always had a passion for plants and nature, which led me towards floriculture in particular, which supported my parallel studies at the Estonian School of Floriculture to become a florist. I also teach practical horticulture to pupils at a local school.
